Embedded Software Engineer

• Design custom software for new products and make improvements to existing products;
• Identify and implement enhancements that can be made to the software to increase efficiencies and portability;
• Develop, enhance and test software ensuring quality levels are met;
• Willingness to travel (internationally);
• Work with sales, marketing and customers to create product specifications, create timelines and provide technical support. Perform field and customer visits to gather feedback and determine effectiveness of the tools and to keep current on latest technologies;
• Demonstrate desire for continuous improvement and advancing quality.

Required skills:

• Ability to understand basic schematics and hardware designs;
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects, making sure that all deadlines are met;
• Ability to work in a global team environment and interact with engineers in several locations around the world;
• Flexible with a hands-on and pro-active mentilaty;
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English and Dutch (German is a plus).

• MTS HTS Electronica based or equivalent;
• Extensive experience using Embedded C;
• Experience with C# is a plus;
• Experience with Java is a plus;
• 3+ years embedded software development experience;
• Experience with Microsoft Windows based development is a plus;
• Proficiency with the Dutch/English language is a must;
• Proficiency with other languages including German is plus.
