Applications Engineer

The Applications Engineer (AE / Applicatie Engineer) position is a technical support position within the Sales Department. The primary responsibilities of this position revolve around manning the 3S Hot Line, and as such the position requires an individual to perform both technical/ engineering and sales/ customer service related tasks. In addition, a number of other responsibilities may be required of the AE from time to time. This position requires the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects from field reports of technical problems to delivery of solutions to customers. The ability to multitask and to see projects through to the completion of every detail is a must for this position.

• Germany (fluent German and English);
• France (fluent French and English);
• Russia (fluent Russian and English);
• Turkey (fluent Turkish and English).

• He or she must be a Salesman, a Presenter, an Advisor and a friend to the client base;
• The position requires some travel (tradeshows);
• A thorough understanding of digital and analog electronics is required;
• Able to use an oscilloscope proficiently;
• Possess well-developed problem solving skills;
• Ability to communicate clearly in English with proven presentation skills;
• Strong computer background;
• Experience in system engineering is required;
• Knowledge of any or all of the following is desirable – Video signals and systems, Audio signals and systems, computer networking. Experience in professional audio visual systems is desirable.
